Meet Lulu

ADOPTED 4/2013 – Meet Lulu I am a very pretty Pointer/Lab//Hound mix.. I am about 1 8 months old and weigh 50 pounds. I am spayed with all my shots. I love to fetch a tennis ball and squeaky toys. I have learned how to sit, drop and leave. I am housebroken and go very nicely into my crate at night although I would love a family to sleep in bed with as I love to cuddle. My foster family lets me cuddle with them on the couch. I am also very good in the car and don’t dig or...

NJ AID FOR ANIMALS IS HELPING ANIMALS AROUND THE CLOCK

NO MORE CHAINS FOR TRANE After 11 years at the end of a chain, Trane finally is going to a loving home that will not keep him on a chain. NJAFA met Trane in 2005 when a concerned neighbor in W. Deptford, NJ called us about him living in the cold and a dilapidated doghouse. NJAFA was allowed to take Trane for a few days to get him neutered. Trane also had Lymes and we paid for the treatment. NJAFA offered to keep Trane, but the owner refused. NJAFA provided a warm doghouse and straw. Seven years have passed and...

Dickens, Rescue of a Great Horned Owl – Set Free at Last

On December 28, 2011, NJAFA received a call from “Marie” who saw this beautiful owl on the side of the road by the Atlantic City Expressway. Cockapoo Saved By Vet Tech Who Refused To Euthanize

Chili’s Story: I am a nice little boy about six years old and not feeling so well for some time. When my owner took me to hospital they told her I had a disease that needed something called insulin two times a day. The needle didn’t hurt at all. I am a good boy and like everyone!! My owner said she didn’t want to put a needle in me so I should be put to sleep forever. A very nice person at hospital stood up for me and took me. She called NJ Aid for Animals and they got me....

CHANCE RESCUED BY NJ AID FOR ANIMALS FROM DOG FIGHTER PASSES AWAY

It is with much regret to inform you that Chance, one of the three pits that NJAFA rescued from a dog fighting ring working in conjunction with Salem County Prosecutor’s Office in 2008, has passed away. The only fighting Chance did from 2008 to now is for his life which included tons of medicine for his allergies and poor auto immune system that his loving adopters paid thousands for to keep him healthy because his abuser Khalil Spikes tortured and fought him. Chance’s constant medical problems didn’t deter his wiggly butt and happy personality with his loving family as evidenced...

Bear

Some of you may remember Bear (who was once called Lobo) who came to NJAFA after a hard life in Camden. He lived his days chained with little to no interaction. Once he was surrendered to us we showered him with love, vet care and promptly found him a good home. This is Bear now enjoying our weekend snow. It’s nice to see our past rescue who had such a sad start living such a fantastic life now!
