NO MORE CHAINS FOR TRANE

NO MORE CHAINS FOR TRANEAfter 11 years at the end of a chain, Trane finally is going to a loving home that will not keep him on a chain.

NJAFA met Trane in 2005 when a concerned neighbor in W. Deptford, NJ called us about him living in the cold and a dilapidated doghouse. NJAFA was allowed to take Trane for a few days to get him neutered. Trane also had Lymes and we paid for the treatment. NJAFA offered to keep Trane, but the owner refused. NJAFA provided a warm doghouse and straw.

Seven years have passed and this September, we learned that Trane was viciously attacked by two neighborhood dogs. Once again, the owner did nothing. The same concerned neighbor convinced Trane’s owner to take him to a vet. Infection had set in to the bone and a four hour surgery had to be performed.

Trane’s owner is finally surrendering him. After advocating for Trane to find him the loving home he deserves, an adopter has been identified and NJAFA will be transporting Trane to his new home this weekend.

With your generous donations and support, NJ Aid for Animals can continue to do the work we do and advocate (sometimes for years) like we did for Trane.
