On Sunday, October 9 five lucky dogs travelled to a sanctuary in Texas. Alaska, Michael and Begonia were pulled from Camden Co. Shelter while Hooch and Pluto were rescued from the mean streets of Philly and Camden by NJAFA.

Thanks to the folks at Camden Shelter and NJAFA volunteer, Kelly M, for helping with the logistics of getting five dogs prepared for a cross country trip.

Big SHOUT OUT TO HALO HOUSE RESORT in Franklinville, NJ who has been fostering some of the pits for us while we did some shuffling. They are the best !!!!

Our newfriends, Elaine and Dave from Dog Runner Pet Transport, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Their transport is super clean, new and a wonderful environment for the animals equipped with cameras in the cab so Elaine can keep an “eye” on them while enroute. Elaine and Dave own pits of their own and are super experienced. See you in two weeks Elaine and Dave!!!

This has been in the works for over two months and finally came to a happy but sad ending.

For about $500 per dog, NJAFA raised the funds for the cost of sponsorship in Texas, transport, vet bills, health certs, microchipping and food.

Thanks to ALL that donated and to our special friends, Emma and KB.
