Springer Spaniel Pups
Henry, Dora and Joey, Eight week old Puppies whose mother we saved
We are proud to present “Penny’s Puppies”
Thanks to Fiona who bottle fed these babies from 24 hours old. Penny, a l0 year old Springer Spaniel, was so weak from the birth she had to have a C Section and spay that NJ Aid for Animals paid for. Because it was a Sunday afternoon and none of our vets we work with were open we had to pay for emergency services which is very expensive
We didn’t want to see Penny die. After surgery, Penny stayed with her “owner” who didn’t even know Penny was pregnant and NJAFA obtained ownership of the puppies.
Here are Henry, Dora and Joey, ready for their forever homes. If you are interested, you must fill out an application under “adoptable pets”. No phone calls or emails unless we have received your application. They are half Springer Spaniel and half Golden Retriever. They will be spayed or neutered before adoption and are healthy bouncing babies (thanks to Fiona)
Now to get on my soapbox….
While we are happy that Penny and the pups are alive and well (although two died with one stuck in the birth canal), this is a BLATANT example of how irresponsible some people are with their animals. AND HOW by being so irresponsible you take away precious money and services that could have helped other animals.
By being more responsible with your pets and having them spayed or neutered, the money NJAFA spent on this ONE DOG could have spayed or neutered EIGHTY animals in Camden City, provided FIVE HUNDRED SHOTS to dogs to prevent Parvo, purchased TWO HUNDRED doses of frontline to keep fleas off animals already suffering in the heat.
By the ignorance of people who don’t take responsibility for their pets, it makes the other animals have to pay or suffer.
This individual knew her dog was unaltered and knew there was another unaltered male in the same house.
