Thanks to all our volunteers who gave up their holiday weekend over Memorial Day.
Saturday, May 28 at the FOP Lodge in Camden City, NJ Aid for Animals gave out over l20 free vaccinations under our PEP (Pet Enrichment Program).
This program touches the life of an animal in Camden that may never before or will again receive something to enrich its life.
Whether a shot to prevent the dreaded fatal disease PARVO for dogs or the Calichi virus for cats, a new cat carrier, a leash or a collar,  a toy and most important,
infomration on how to sign up for low cost or free spay neuter, every single animal was touched somehow.
Almost twenty volunteers gave up their Saturday morning, AWA sent their two top people from their clinic, volunteers checked people in and cut nails of dogs and/or cats, we
gave out tons of free food and low cost flea treatment was available.  A puppy and a kitten were surrendered from owners who didn’t want them.
EIGHTY PERCENT of the residents there signed up to have their animal spayed or neutered. The clinic in April had almost 300 attendees and the number was overwhelming that signed up to have their animals spayed or neutered.
This is the second clinic NJAFA has done this year.  We will be hosting at least one more before the end of summer.  If you are interested in helping or donating toward these very very successful bringing services TO THE COMMUNITY, pls consider donating.  NJAFA purchases all the vaccines for the dogs and cats.  It is about $5.00 per shot.  Won’t you give $5.00 to help an animal in Camden?
People show up with puppies like these that may never receive a shot and die of Parvo if it weren’t for our free clinics.
