EVA MARIE SAINT – This is Eva Marie. Another rescue asked NJAFA to go and get Eva Marie from a very high kill shelter in NJ. Once we picked up Eva and took her immediately to a vet to have her face checked out, we learned, sadly, that she has jaw cancer.
Poor Eva was covered in mats and filthy. Her ears were infected with yeast and she had fleas everywhere. Despite all that and her gum being very swollen, she is a lover.
Eva will require lots of help medically and we do not have the funds to help her. We could not bear to take her back to the high kill shelter and since the original rescue doesn’t want her either, we have decided to take her into our sancutary.
She has already captured our heart and she will yours too. Come and meet her at our September 26 event in Burlington or Steve and Cookies in Margate on September 27.
She is about five years old and loves everyone including cats.
