UPDATE – April 2012 – We could not have asked for better homes. Found in the woods after being dumped by hunters on a cold winter day by Kathy McGuire, George had a severe ear infection and Lyme. He was first to find a loving home with an adopter who had just lost everything in a house fire including his beloved beagle. Thank God his other beagle had been at the vet for tests the day of the fire. This poor individual also lost his best friend, George, the day after the fire. When this loving person saw our George’s story and the name, he had to have George. George is living large in a new home with his new owner and the beagle that survived the fire.
As for our little Gracie, she had a large mammary tumor hanging off of her. She was not having anything to do with being crated and could not be housebroken. But she knows the doggie door. Living at NJAFA’s sanctuary, she has four doggie doors and loves everyone and other animals. Finding a home with a fenced yard and a doggie doors is just what we did!! Gracie has been adopted to a loving family in Cherry Hill with doggie doors, two other senior beagles and a huge fenced yard in which to play.
GRACIE ALLEN – My bud George Burns and I were dumped in the woods after hunting season. I had a huge breast tumor but had it and three others cut off. George had Lymes and an ear infection. George is so lucky he got adopted to a very nice family. I am living with a nice lady and I have already learned how to use the doggie doors. I am a little girl only 25 pounds and SUPER FRIENDLY. I love other dogs and cats.
