TIME TO CELEBRATE.. BREAK OUT THE CHAMPAGNE……. FRANKIE FOUND A HOME
Frankie, our little boy surrendered from Camden on October l8, 2007 because he had only one eye and was very sick has found a new loving home!
Frankie tested positive for FELV which is contagious to other cats (feline leukemia). He has been living by himself for over one year in his little room with a tv, his scratching post, toys and rocking chair but he was so lonely and so energetic and friendly~
A very kind woman with no other animals and/or children from Haddonfield has taken Frankie home~ and what a lucky guy he is.. he gets to RUN RUN RUN all over her house and is like a speeding bullet his new human, Pam, said.
He loves his laser light toy but she thought the advantage of having a cat was to keep the mice away.
Recently, he caught a baby grey mouse who had come in from the cold in her basement but instead of eating it, he brought it to Pam in her bedroom and let it go!!~~~ Frankie and Pam both raced around the room to try to find it but the little mouse was never found.
If you don’t have other cats, just because a cat has feline leukemia and/or feline aids does not mean they wont make great companions. Please consider adopting one of these special needs cats from any shelter or rescue where you see they need a home. They are mostly overlooked and not given a chance.
FRANKIE
NOVEMBER 26, 2007 Update on Frankie the one eyed cat
PLEASE GIVE FRANKIE HIS FOREVER HOME — THIS POOR LITTLE BOY HAS SO MANY PROBLEMS BUT IS SO LOVING AND GENTLE!
Little Frankie is the sweetest friendliest list kitten that was surrendered from a person’s yard in Camden City. Little Frankie only has one eye the other one was damaged permanetly by a sharp object going through it and then back out!
Now he has been diagnosed with Feline Leukemia which means he can only be a single cat household or live with another FELV cat!!
He also has a HOLE IN HIS HEART called Hammer Heart. He is such a dear boy. We are committed to keeping him for however long it takes to find him a home and will not euthanize him.
For now, he is happy and shows no signs or symptoms of his FELV or heart condition.
He needs someone that will love him the way he is
