Free Vaccine Clinics have just finished

As summer is just starting, NJ Aid for Animals Camden Pet Enrichment Program’s Free Vaccine Clinics have just finished!

Parvo and Distemper are highly contagious and often fatal diseases that are prevalent during summer months. NJAFA works hard all year for donations to purchase, deliver and administer free life saving vaccines to owned dogs and cats in Camden City, NJ. For the fifth year in a row, NJAFA in March, April May and June administered just over 1000 free vaccines. This included not only yearly boosters, but first puppy shots and sign up for spay/neuter, free collars and leashes, food, low cost flea treatment and worming. Animals in distress were given temporary first aid. To see a video of a sample clinic, please visit www.njafa.org under “Programs” Pet Enrichment.

A special thanks to our partners at the 3rd and Federal Streets Firehouse and the FOP Lodge #1, Camden City who always lend their support to NJAFA Pet Enrichment Program. Thanks to our guests and partners in rescue Animal Welfare Association and, in particular, Judi Russo and Dr. Van, Kibble Cupboard, Guardians of Rescue, and all the volunteers who gave up their Saturdays

Remember, we cannot save lives without your help. To volunteer for 2013 or to donate $5.00 toward one life saving vaccine, please visit www.njafa.org and thank you for remembering this vital program in your year end contributions.

“Phoenix” was the last animal to be vaccinated at our 2012 clinics. Phoenix was found starving in the streets by this kind resident and she had no money for a collar, leash or shots. NJAFA was there to help. Like Phoenix’s moniker, we will rise again next year in Camden and continue our work with your help.
